This is the yard at Bowerland where the Barbecue was held on Tuesday evening.

Yvonne and Chris Burchell from the WIFLAG group. I had stayed with them on Friday May 12th and it was lovely to see them again. They were well wrapped up against the cold

We were really pleased that Geoff Cox the local MP was able to come. He had sent a message of support to me when I started the walk, and he spoke forcefully about the harm these industrial structures would do to the fragile rural economy.  Read more about him here
 The barbecue
The barbecue started at around 7pm . It was a chilly evening but it wasn`t raining and the sun was shining at last. The dog in the foreground is George, Mel and Ray`s Standard Poodle.
