Chris at Bowerchalke

| This is a painting that my
father did of me, just outside the house that he and my mother had
built in Bowerchalke in the 1960`s. In the painting, we are about to go
for a walk up the drove to Marleycombe Down. Coming towards us is Bob
Daverill (not sure if I have spelt it right) on his tractor. Bob worked
on the nearby farm, owned at that time by Captain Mann, who planted
grape vines behind the hedge on the left. |
