Sedborough Farm, near Parkham

January 2008

Another proposal that has been learnt about recently,  On January 19th I walked (in the rain and wind) from Buck`s Cross to the lane leading to Sedborough farm, just past the turn off to Parkham Ash.
As the crow flies, this site is about one and a half miles from Buck`s Cross.  It was too wet to see very much, but
later in the day, Laura Holt (from www.savenorthdevon.com) and I were shown views of the site from the other side of the hill.  Parkham Parish Church is 84 feet high (25.5m). Nearly four times higher than the church, at 328 feet (100m) high, these turbines would completely change the appearance of this rural landscape.

The proposal is for two 2MW turbines, which will be 100m high at blade tip. They will probably be visible from  the coast if built, and add to the cumulative effect on the coast if Crimp and Fullabrook wind farms are built.
