Ashford from Barnstaple
The village of Ashford (on the slope of the hill on the right.) This photograph was taken on or around June 17th 2011, from the B323 that goes down into Barnstaple, from the top of Sticklepath Hill, to the roundabout by the new Taw Bridge.
The turbines visible here are about a mile and a half beyond Ashford, at least.  I am not quite sure which turbines these are, as some of the closest turbines to this location had not yet been put up on this day.
To get an idea of how far they are away, look at this map:
The nearest turbine is about three miles away from the place where I was standing.

There is an icon near the bottom of the map that shows where that place was.
